Te Mata Estate Wine Dinner at Four Winds Farm
Four Winds Farm’s wine dinner series will continue this month with a visit from Simon Buck, who will be joining us all the way from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. Te Mata is one of New Zealand’s oldest family-owned wineries, dating to 1896, and unlike many of their peers who focus on white wines and lighter styles of red, it has built a reputation on their production of world-class red wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon and multiple expressions of Syrah, which will be featured at the dinner.
Simon will lead us through a tasting of his wines paired with a five-course menu prepared by our chef in residence, Jon Rosnow. Jon’s menus always feature locally grown or foraged produce and proteins, which he handpicks and preserves himself. Each wine will be thoughtfully paired with a dish to highlight its unique flavors and characteristics. James Juedes, beverage director for Four Winds Farm, will oversee wine service.
